Preparing for WotLK.

Only a couple hours left before the midnight launch of WotLK and it appears i will attend the midnight launch in NYC. Hopefully it will be a good launch and everyone will get their copy fast and easy.

This expansion should hope to shatter its old record of being the fastest selling game with the Burning Crusade, pulling in over 2.4million copies in 24 hours.

So many people will attend and this is the line i have to look forward to...

Not enough information here?

Then check out the links to the right! They have supplied me with information for many years and they are the greatest collection of information for WoW.

Feel free to email me suggestions about my blog if you would like me to post anything new such as videos.

A blast from the past!

We have put our daggers to rot ever since Burning Crusade, it appears that Subetly daggers is coming back as a pretty effective PvP spec in WotLK.

This is a look at what could be a very effective double dps spec with amazing burst capabilities. Now this is just from my tests on the beta and might not be the final outlook on the spec but it works very well as it stands.

This spec guarantees over 80% crit chance with backstab and ambush with talents and stats. Combine this with reduced cost of both abilities from Slaughter from the Shadows and you have an amazing combo.

17/0/54 - Subetly/Daggers: Give this a try when you get to 80 it is a very fun spec and has great mobility because of prep and shadowstep along with great burst!.

Recommended Rogue Mods.

It is very important to know that mods are very useful and if you haven't used them yet try and download them because they have helped me progress from no title to gladiator title.

Here is a list of all the addons I use in order to excel in PvP.

-Rogue Focus Classic (Contains Combo Bar and Energy Regen Bar in one.)

-FocusFrame (If you use the normal WoW unit frames use this also.)

-SCT + SCTD (Scrolling combat text + damage. Good layout and useful.)

-Rating Buster (Compare current items with other highlighted items easily.)

-OmniCC (Great mini-countdown counter for all abilities on their icon.)

-NaturCombat (Best alternative to NECB, contains cooldowns such as Iceblock and duration.)

-Dominos (Action bars, good alternative to the WoW action bars.)

-Unit Frames Extension (Great if you use the regular WoW unit frames.)

-AzCastBars (Better then Enemy Castbars.)

-Rogue Power Bars (Displays statusbars with time left on rogue abilities. Nice little tool.)

-Gladuis (Better then Proximo!)

Level 80 specs and upcoming changes.

Here is a rundown of suggested level 80 specs gathered by other players and suggested by me.

15/51/5 - Combat: Highest DPS spec. Good for PvE geared rogues and recommended for
Healer/DPS combo. Great spec for leveling to 80.

42/5/24 - Mutilate/Prep: Great for burst damage and recommended for Healer/DPS combo for
PvP geared rogues.

25/5/41 - Shadow step/Cold blood: This is what would be the old 20/0/41 spec used widely in
2.4 but with greater damage output with cold blood combined
with survivability of prep with shadow step.

These three specs are the basis for a PvP oriented rogue. There may be alternatives but this is the basic rundown of old specs expanded to be more effective at level 80. Lets face it, old specs for PvP cannot change much because that would mean the whole class has been revamped.

What can we look forward to in WotLK? Well there is the chance to redeem yourself in PvE or PvP in case you missed your chance at raiding or arena. If you have been slacking in gear then have no worries as level 70 gear will be near obsolete at level 80. With level 80 characters in PvP gear reaching nearly 20,000+ HP it is obvious that the gear change is significant.

We can also hope for the new arena system to be more balanced with class changes and gear specific queuing system that is not based on ratings. There will be problems with this change but they will be addressed later.

Keep checking back regularly as I update strategies and specs along with changes to our class.

Season 5 and Beyond.

Thank you all for visiting my blog, I will keep up to date on all rogue specs and rogue gear along with gemming and socketing for level 80 and beyond.

A little bit about myself, I am a 2 year veteran in World of Warcraft and have a long list of accomplishments since season 2. I have a 70 rogue, 70 hunter and a upcoming 70 warlock. My focus is to provide as much information about rogue specs and strategies as level 80 comes closer.

Check back daily for updates on patch notes, specs and strategies that will affect our class.
